Como Park Zoo & Conservatory is getting in the Olympic spirit with its very own kid-friendly, animal-themed version of the Olympic Games – the Zoolympics. Can you run as fast as a cheetah? Jump as far as a cougar? If animals were competing in the Olympics, who would take home the gold? This weekend, kids can test their skills at animal-themed Olympic activity stations throughout the zoo that highlight animal speed, accuracy, and strength. There will be games and hands-on activities that focus on healthy eating and fitness tips.
While at zoo, be sure to check out this year’s Olympic-themed Sparky the Sea Lion Show. Watch as Sparky presents her very own Zoolympics and learn how different aquatic animals would stack up in the Olympic Games. The Sparky Show runs daily at 11:30 with an extra show on weekends and holidays at 3:00.
Olympics At Home
It looks like it will be in the 90s again this weekend, so I think any competitions we may have will have to be water-themed. U create has some fun ideas for Backyard Olympics. Then maybe an Olympic-themed family dinner inspired by the dinner party She Knows suggests.
