This weekend The Roe Family Singers are back from their two-week Midwest Tour; and we have three free and all-ages opportunities to see them:
- Friday night at the Midtown GlobalMarket, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., for Family Fun Night;
- Saturday night at the Sea Salt Eatery, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.; and
- Sunday at the Kingfield Farmers Market, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
I love Roe Family Singers. I first heard them on SiaNet Radio (a station dedicated to local and independent music), but they getting a lot of attention from the press, and I’m not sure how much longer they will be offering free shows. We should take advantage while we can.
If you have not had a chance to see them before, The Roe Family Singers are a “Good-Time, Old-Time Hillbilly band” led by wife & husband Kim Roe and Quillan Roe and often joined by as many as seven musicians, featuring banjo, autoharp, guitar, and washboard.
We offer one of their albums through our Family Fun Store.
