On Sunday from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., Leonardo’s Basement will host an open house. This is at their Grigg’s Park Workshop, 1188 Hubbard Ave, Saint Paul 55104.
Leonardo’s Basement is an innovative educational organization for children and their families. It offers imaginative learning environments where girls and boys ages 6 to 16 design and build their creative ideas, mixing art, science and technology.
Do you want to do more at home? I love this great website, Filth Wizardry for ideas (or just jealousy); or its companion site, FangleTronics. This couple does a amazing things making toys for and with their kids, often out of recyclables. My favorite was the Star Wars Playset. Check it out and then browse the rest.
A family meal to go with this day would have to be Italian. Why not take the day off and have pizza or spaghetti.
