Free Family Fun Day: Bird Eggs – Sunday

Want to go on a real Easter egg hunt on Easter Sunday?  North Mississippi Regional Park is offering Free Family Fun Day: Bird Eggs.  See samples of bird eggs close up. Learn why eggs are different shapes and colors. Try to find hidden “eggs.” Drop in anytime between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.  Learn more about Minnesota bird eggs at the DNR Young Naturalists Site.

If you celebrate Easter, you probably already have a family meal planned for Sunday.  So how about some recipes for using up those Easter eggs on Monday.

If your children really enjoy the Free Family Fundays and you want to encourage their nature exploration, our Amazon store carries a Science on a Nature Walk Kit, which would be fun to bring along on these outings and to use in your own backyard.
