This winter is not finished with us yet; we’re still in Minnesota, kiddies. It’s time to belly up for a bowl full of stewed comfort food at the Compassionate Action for Animals’ 3rd Annual Vegan Chili Cook-Off, held at the Seward Community Cafe. Why meatless? Why not? It’s seven kinds of wrong to think of chili only as a vat full of dead proteins cooked up by someone brandishing a large belt buckle. At this event, attendees are invited to sip complimentary beverages and sample from crock pots full of hearty veggie loveāfor free.
