To kick off National Poetry Month, Sumner Library is hosting a PoeTREE Party for kids in kindergarten to grade six on Saturday, March 31, at 2:00 p.m. Make a tree for poetry! Decorate the branches and leaf a poem on the tree. The poeTREE will be displayed during April. You can bring the fun home to family time with 30 Ways to Celebrate National Poetry Month; or there is always the old standby of the poetry magnets on the refrigerator (at least for your kids who are past the “if it fits in my mouth, it must be food” stage).
If you know of a teacher, librarian or bookseller who would like the above poster for free, they can request one here.
