Best Free Sledding Hills in the Twin Cities

Share

If you haven’t already, it’s time to break out the sleds.  So where are the best places to sled for free in the twin cities? Minneapolis Parks suggests: Sunset Hill near Theodore Wirth Park or Columbia Golf Course.  The City of St. Paul offers a list of Sledding Hills here.  This list offers a description of the grade — gentle, medium or steep – and a phone number to call for more details.  Three Rivers Park District has five parks that offer sledding.  Remember that if you drive a van, you will have to pay for parking.  Otherwise Three Rivers Park District offers free sledding.

Other good sledding hills recommended by parents around town are Scheid Park in Golden Valley, Wayzata East Middle School in Plymouth and Lakefront Park in Prior Lake.
