Free Family Funday at North Mississippi Regional Park: Year of the Dragon

Drop in to anytime between 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. on Sunday at North Mississippi Regional Park for Free Family Funday: Year of the Dragon. January 23 marks the celebration of Chinese New Year 2012. This year the zodiac sign is the Dragon with the special Chinese element of water. Discover the meaning of this ancient tradition and the mythology that arrives with the Year of the Water Dragon. Meet some real-life animals that live in and along the Mississippi River then create a Chinese lantern or make your own dragon puppet and have a dragon parade along the river.
