The Annual Rice Park Tree Lighting Event will be held on Saturday at 5:00 p.m. and will include special holiday entertainment and fireworks to kick-off the holiday season. During the tree lighting ceremony, cast members from Ordway’s production of Cinderella will delight guests with holiday music. Visitors can also enjoy music from Saint Paul Hotel’s It’s A Wonderful Life ~ A Live Radio Play, Zack Dyer, a McNally Smith graduate, and a fun performance by the Starettes. Children will be invited to take their picture with Santa in front of the holiday tree. Rice Park, one of the oldest parks in the country, will feature special holiday décor including two 10-foot-tall classic Nutcrackers and two 12-foot-tall angel sculptures, several large wrapped gifts and glittering lit archways and trees.
Kids can also experience Lowe’s Santa’s Workshop & Macy’s and Make-A-Wish Letters to Santa inside Landmark Center.
Wells Fargo WinterSkate’s grand opening starts at 4:30 pm with skating exhibitions, entertainment, tree-lighting ceremony, fireworks, and more!
