Gallery admission at Walker Art Center is free for everyone on the first Saturday of each month. Families can enjoy live performances, films, gallery adventures, and hands-on art-making from 10 am–3 pm. The activities are aimed at kids 6–12 but can be adjusted to younger children.  This month’s activities reveal many ways that everyday objects are re-imagined in contemporary art. Surprises and artistic experimentation await families in the Art Lab, where you’ll start with one thing and end up with something entirely different.
